The Subway station "COLOSSEO"

Fiumicino Airport "Leonardo da Vinci" (FCO).
It's Rome's main airport, well-connected to downtown. There's a
direct train that links to the main Train Station "Termini" that costs €
9,50 and takes approximately 30 minutes. Tickets can be purchased at vending
machines, ticket offices and other vendors at both Termini and Fiumicino(schedule
is every 30 min. you can check timetables at
www.trenitalia.com).
Ciampino
Airport
"G.B. Pastine" (CIA):
It's a smaller airport dealing mainly with charter flights
and it is not well connected with public transports. There are Cotral buses
(40 min. depends on traffic!) that can bring you to the metro "Line A"("Anagnina"
station) that links to the main Train Station "Termini" in about 30 min.
Ticket costs € 1,03. schedule every 30-60 minutes. For more information:

Get off the 2nd stop "Colosseo" and take the right little exit
named "L.go Agnesi" situated just before the main one.

Important Warning:
Taxis
in Rome can be very expensive.
A normal fare from
Airports (Fiumicino or Ciampino) to Rome’ centre (within
the Aurelian Walls) is, at the present, around € 40 or 30 for 1 trip up to 4
people, but we know of many cases in which the tourists they have been convinced,
deceptively, to pay really much more than this. We recommend you to use
exclusively the Public Taxi Service, performed by white cars that have a "TAXI"
signboard on the roof, as well as an identifying number outside and inside
the vehicle, otherwise we invite you in booking the Hotel Taxi Service that you
can easily pay together with your hotel bill avoiding any stress! |
