Tour 1

Monumental Rome

 

The tour starts passing by Via Veneto famous for Fellini's "Dolce Vita" movie. Before reaching Via Nazionale we cross, Piazza della Repubblica with Najadi's fountain (recently restored). Our walk in the historical centre starts with the visit of "Trevi Fountain" till "Piazza Navona" , located on the ancient Domitian Stadium with the famous Four Rivers Fountain, Bernini's masterpiece. Along the way we will admire Piazza Colonna so called due to the Column of Marco Aurelio,  Montecitorio seat of the Chamber of Deputees, the internal visit of the "Pantheon", built in the 1st Century with the biggest dome in the world wanted by Emperor Hadrian. Continue by coach to St. Peters's Square passing by St.Angel's Castle. Visit  St. Peter's Basilic to admire, among others the  Pietà by Michelangelo.

Tour 2

Roma Antica

Crossing Piazza della Repubblica with the Najadi's fountain, we continue along Via Nazionale till Piazza Venezia, heart of the city with the monument to Victor Emanuel II also called Vittoriano. Continue by bus to the Colosseum and the sorrounding Arches Of Costantine and Titus and have a walk into the Roman Forum, the most important archeological area in the world, and possibly the Capitol Square. Proceed to Teatro Marcello to reach by bus St. Paul's Outside the Wall built where the Apostle of the people is buried.

Tour 3

Artistic Rome

Crossing the Porta Pinciana, The Aurelian Walls and the Park of Villa Borghese, we reach the Vatican Museums. During the visit you'll admire: the Hall of the Greek Cross, the Candelabra Gallery, the beautiful Tapestry Gallery and the interesting cartographic study in the Maps Gallery, the Raphael Rooms, entirely frescoed by the Master, and, above all, the Sistine Chapel, where Popes are elected, with the Genesis, and Last Judgement by Michelangelo, recently restored.

Tour 4

Christian Rome

Passing by Piazza Barberini with Triton Funtain by Bernini we reach St.Mary Major (visit) the most beautiful Basilica dedicated to Mary Mother of Christ. Continue to St.John's in Lateran (visit) cathedral of Rome and first Papal residence with masterpieces of middle ages to Baroque. Stop at the Holy Stairs. Through the Appian Way, with view at the Domine Quo Vadis Chapel, we reach the Catacombs (Domitilla or St.Callixtus), the ancient underground tunnels, first burial places Christian and Hebrews. The tour ends with a panoramic view of Caracalla Baths.
